Fracture, or Sprain?

My little sister says this:

"I learned it is not brilliant to jump on a horse,
bareback, in pj's and mules.
But, yes, i got back on."

  1. I suggest an x-ray. That may be a Jones Fracture from the looks and location of the bruising.
    Been there, done that.

  2. Thank you, Anonymous, I think she needs to have it checked out, too ... but she thinks "because she can somewhat walk on it" that it must not be broken.

Who knows what additional damage she may be causing by not having it checked out?

  3. About 25 years ago I would deliver pizza part time for extra money! One time I jumped a 6 foot ditch[too big of a hurry to go around] and came down on my left foot into a small hole! I fell down, but still didn't lose the pizza! Got up and delivered the pizza! By the time I got back to the store, my ankle started hurting! I took off my tennis shoe and my ankle looked like that! Maybe worst! It took 3 weeks to heal, but it was just a bad sprain like yours look like! Like most people will tell you, if it was broke, you would know it! It's also a good idea to be safe!

  7. The bruised, and swollen, foot belongs to my sister ... not me ... and she has decided to take a "wait and see" approach ... foolish, but, oh well ... evidently it is just a very bad sprain?

Hello Andy ... I need to make a post on Miss Field Lab's most recent adventures soon ... sorry I've dropped that ball :)
